ONE, TWO, THREE... SUN ROUTINE
Here comes the summer, the sun and the shellfish… To prepare your skin for the first rays and ensure golden skin, you are now in the starting blocks. By way of training, let's review together the essential gestures of your sun routine.
THE NEED TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN
“Hydrate! will be your mantra for the summer.
It's a question of pure logic: when the mercury rises, the water evaporates even more, like the one present in your skin. In addition to heat, it is also prolonged sun exposure that is responsible for dehydration. The cells of the dermis contain 80% water, and with the abuse of UV, the production of collagen and the elastic fibers are directly affected, resulting in slackening and a lack of tone in the skin...
To enjoy the sun as it should, follow our guide to the letter: before – during – after. For tanned skin in complete safety!
BEFORE
You don't wait to be on the beach to worry about your skin. Get ready for the sun routine well before summer! Before you let yourself be caressed by the tender rays of the sun, moisturize your skin deeply. In this way, your cells will be ready to withstand the heat and the evaporation of water from the dermis that it inevitably causes. To do this, simply apply Miss Agathe's regenerating body cream morning and evening. Composed of 50% snail slime extract, added to the softening properties of aloe vera and shea butter, it ensures maximum skin hydration. But staying hydrated also means remembering to drink, and this regularly, at least 1.5 liters per day, we are told in the headset. Skin + body, the two go hand in hand.
Second, the scrub. You're in luck, at this level, snail slime naturally contains glycolic acid, which gently exfoliates the top layer of the skin.
Before the fateful hour of exposure: scrub your body in the shower two to three times a week, so as to eliminate all dead skin. You will have a new look to welcome your new tan with open arms!
Also look on your plate, the sun routine is also a question of food. We start by recharging in antioxidants by starting a cure. Because they form an excellent barrier against UV rays and slow down skin aging. Where do we find it? In apple, grape, strawberry, green tea and cocoa. Take a big shopping bag!
Along the same lines, stock up on foods rich in beta-carotene and vitamin E, a tanning booster. We then put in our cart:
- Egg yolks, oily fish and cheese to promote our vitamin A
- Sunflower oil, hazelnuts and pine nuts for vitamins E
- Oysters, calf's liver, tuna or even sardines, loaded with zinc, they slow down skin aging
We put the turbo on its ration in omega 3 plants found in rapeseed oil, sea buckthorn oil or rosehip. These fatty acids help fight chronic inflammation caused by the sun and help strengthen the skin barrier.
HOW TO PREVENT IT?
DURING
No matter how well you prepare your skin for the sun, the main thing is played out at the moment T of the exposure. Haro on the cream! It is essential no matter the time, no matter how hot it is.
In the start-up phase, we protect ourselves as much as possible with a high index. 50 is a must. Slip into your beach bag, Mlle Agathe's organic sun care with SPF50+ or SP50 protection factor, at your convenience. Our untinted cream only uses 100% natural non-nano filters and is fragrance-free for the most sensitive skin. Its fluid and light texture is non-sticky and water resistant. We thought of everything. And for those who would like to brown gently, they also exist in a tinted version! Little by little, your skin will turn gently towards caramel.
Also, with perspiration, the cream also evaporates and loses its effect. Be vigilant, renew the application every two hours and avoid the hottest hours. We are watching you!
And we reassure you one last time: no, sunscreen does not prevent you from getting a tan, it just protects against the dangers of the sun that can lead irreparably to: ageing, depigmentation, even cancer...
AFTER
So that the tan also plays extra time, we take care of our skin when we come back from the exhibition. Once the deckchair is folded up, the first thing to do is…? of ? Stay hydrated of course! In the evening, we apply again a rich and moisturizing cream to water her skin and compensate for all the dehydration she has suffered.
In order not to lose any of these effects, we think of washing with a surgras soap. Yes, hydration even in the shower! Miss Agathe suggests her sweet almond cold saponification soap, ideal for the most fragile skin.
And if... Oops: your skin has reddened, you've probably got a sunburn. Don't panic, your epidermis just needs richer hydration than usual. For this, Miss Agathe recommends that you use her aloe vera gel. Its soothing power and its ability to boost cell regeneration, particularly relieve sunburn. Coupled with the healing properties of snail slime, it helps to reduce deep burns. Aloe vera and snail slime, it's a team that works for sure!.
Then, in the days that follow, stay in the shade, preferably with a good book. With our precious advice, you should have a beautiful sunny summer...
