AGAINST COVID 19, A BOOST OF SOLIDARITY SLUB!
During confinement, Mademoiselle Agathe did not twiddle her thumbs. Small, medium and large actions, this is our anti-COVID 19 recipe! A look back at our solidarity operation with the Fondation des Hôpitaux de France to relieve the front line, in our own way.
At the heart of the operation
Faced with the crisis, Mademoiselle Agathe did not remain in her shell. Action reaction. When the whole world is on pause, how can we help society and show solidarity with the living forces facing the virus head-on?
Neither one nor two, Mademoiselle Agathe very quickly decided to deploy her most effective weapon: set up a solidarity sales operation. This consisted of donating 5 euros to the Fondation des Hôpitaux de France for all orders over 50 euros for the months of April and May. Snail slime as the best shield against the virus! The underlying mechanism to raise maximum funds and help our healthcare forces? Tap into our community of big-hearted customers. After setting up a sponsorship agreement with this very active foundation with hospitals and EPHADs, we were able to collect the sum of 9780 euros. Imagine!
This is why we would like to thank you warmly for this unprecedented outpouring of solidarity! We have won a battle but not yet the war. And now there is still a long way to go to completely defeat the virus. This is why we are announcing that from September 1st until the end of the year, we will donate 1 euro to them on all orders placed on our e-shop!
From September, whether you want to order an elixir for atopic skin composed of 62% snail slime or complete your Mlle Agathe collection with aloe vera gel, you will do so for a good cause.
We are committed to extending our crisis action, as we did during confinement by supporting you in the pedagogy of barrier gestures, in particular, by reminding you how to wash your hands properly and how to take care of them, thanks to our hand cream based on snail slime extract.
But where do the donations go?
Where does the money you generously donated to us during this operation go? This is probably the question you are asking yourself!
From the start of the crisis, the Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris-Hôpitaux de France released an Emergency Aid Fund to very quickly finance the needs reported to it by hospitals and EHPADs facing the COVID crisis. 19.
And the numbers? two funding phases, in just over a month, raised 30 million euros to support caregivers in the field, as well as patients and their families. Never seen !
In phase 1, this aid enabled many solidarity actions:
- Support for 3,000 EPHADs and public hospitals.
- 30,000 digital tablets to combat patient isolation
- 5,000 meals per day
- More than 10 million euros donated to 57 hospitals on the front line in the fight against the epidemic.
During phase 2, the harvest continued and the beneficiaries of this aid were identified in conjunction with the Fédération Hospitalière de France. These are then:
- 7 million additional euros collected since April 22
- Intended for 60 hospitals which have received patients with Covid and transferred patients, and which have thus relieved the establishments most affected by the epidemic
- Support for 96 Mental Health Hospital Centers whose patient care has been severely disrupted since the start of the health crisis
But the struggle continues! Because the post-crisis period could be just as brutal. The Foundation has therefore joined forces with the Fédération Hospitalière de France, which brings together the 1,000 hospitals and 3,800 public medico-social establishments in France, to launch, once the peak has passed, a national call for projects to support establishments in the second phase of the crisis. Because if this pandemic has had frontal consequences, it has also caused a lot of collateral damage. In particular, she explored the difficulties encountered by parents of children/adolescents with disabilities or chronic illnesses, exposing these households to isolation and physical and mental exhaustion. The HP-HF Foundation wishes to provide (in a short time) to these exhausted caregivers temporary respite solutions.
