IN STEPHANE ROTENBERG'S COSMETIC ROUTINE
Thanks to Stéphane Rotenberg, Miss Agathe is on TV. From India to Los Angeles, via Paris, the M6 presenter of Beijing Express and Top chef never leaves Mlle Agathe products. Committed to his profession of information and entertainment, he is also a man convinced of the benefits of organic cosmetics and a return to nature.
Miss Agathe - What does your typical day look like?
SR : Difficult question you ask me! My days go by but are not alike. It's all about rhythm. I travel a lot and juggle between filming periods abroad and recordings in France. My typical day: there is no typical day.
Miss Agathe - What is your secret to keeping in shape?
SR : Keeping in shape… I don't know if I have it! (laugh). It's all about balance and common sense. On this subject, I think that everyone has their own empirical experience, we know what is good or not for us. Thanks to numerous studies and advances in science, we are now able to discern what is good for the body or not. But, I would simply say that you have to go back to basics: try to reduce your diet, eat less meat, focus on fiber and reduce sugars.
Mlle Agathe - When do you use Mlle Agathe cosmetics?
SR: All the time, morning and evening, religiously! At one point, I had a real desire to reduce chemicals in my daily consumption, whether in my diet or in my consumption of cosmetics. It has become vital for me. So I started researching – looking for the ideal product – both fine and effective. At M6, I came across a report where they were showing the product at a fair. Everyone told me the greatest good things about it. The concept intrigued me, I tried it and finally adopted it!
Miss Agathe - Do you have an essential product in your beauty routine?
SR : Be careful, follow well, there are three of them:
- Miss Agathe's anti-aging eye contour serum
- Mlle Agathe's regenerating day care cream
- and Aloe Vera body gel
It's not complicated and we have the essentials.
Miss Agathe - Do you think you are more of a gourmet consumer of cosmetics or a reasoned consumer?
SR : Clearly, I'm trying to be reasonable. I don't understand the need for petrochemicals in what we consume. We are sufficiently exposed to various risks. Besides, there are now a whole bunch of applications to scan your products and reveal what they contain. And believe me, it makes you dizzy and terrifies industrialists. Personally, I don't consider myself to be in a militant approach, I just have a real desire to reduce my consumption of petrochemical products.
Mlle Agathe - What is the benefit and effect of Mlle Agathe cosmetic products on your skin?
SR: It's simple and easy to use. I who only use a few cosmetics, I can tell you that I completely feel the effectiveness of the products. You can feel it as soon as you apply it to the skin. The products act in depth. During my many travels, I have observed that in many countries, women use a lot of natural products.
It's this return to basics – using natural products, bypassing chemicals – that also made me want to use Mlle Agathe products.
Miss Agathe - Miss Agathe in three words?
SR : Simplicity - Purity - Efficiency
Miss Agathe - Is the organic label important in the choice of your products?
SR: Yes without a doubt. When we take a little interest in the question, we realize that the use of petrochemicals is quite scandalous. Organic has made great strides. In the 1970s it was more confidential, we were less exposed to these problems. Now, organic products are easily found in supermarkets. They are becoming visible and will take more and more place in consumer decisions. And through them that change passes!
Miss Agathe - A gesture or a cosmetic idea to save the planet?
SR: Another trick question you ask me here. There is a colossal amount of work to be done in many developing countries such as China or India, for example. I think that reducing meat consumption is already a laudable first option. Going back to more traditional solutions maybe. Finally, the important thing is above all to raise awareness among manufacturers and to draw inspiration from cities like Los Angeles which practice a zero waste policy...
