DETOX AFTER THE HOLIDAYS, WHAT HEALTH RESOLUTIONS?

Another small slice? a glass ? a part ? In January, your body says STOP to the big wave of holiday abuse. At the time of resolutions, Miss Agathe gives you her good health advice to start the year on a light note.

NUMBER 1 – EMPTY!

It's a time of year when excesses run rampant. After pantagruelian meals and permanent festivities, your body is just waiting to rest.

Before moving on to the solutions, let's take a closer look at how our body works. Our elimination system is based on 5 organs: intestines, liver, kidneys, lungs and skin. Called emunctory organs, they allow the body to reject undesirable elements and help us fight against external (toxic) and internal (toxins) aggression. During the holidays, they become saturated and no longer fulfill their function. Waste accumulates and affects the hair, skin and figure. Everything lights up! So be lenient with them. The less work you give them, the better they will do their job.

Additional tips: after a short diet, revise your menus with smaller portions and a more varied diet. Small reflexes but big effects!

NUMBER 2 – SPOTLIGHT ON… FRUITS AND VEGETABLES

It's time to restore fruits and vegetables to their former glory. Rediscover their many virtues:

- Fiber captures toxins. They boost the good bacteria of the intestinal flora, whose balance has been attacked by the abuse of fat
- Potassium accelerates drainage
- Antioxidants calm inflammation and motivate the organs

During the winter, we put on the most draining vegetables, such as cabbage, broccoli, leek, fennel, onions, carrots, pumpkin, parsley, garlic and fine herbs.

Some plants have very targeted beneficial effects. Artichoke and black radish promote the secretion of bile and therefore elimination. Rosemary, on the other hand, encourages digestion. To vary the pleasures, legumes with peas, lentils, soybeans, white beans, provide the necessary energy in proteins while helping you to eliminate.

On the side dish, Miss Agathe strongly suggests that you reduce your consumption of meats, which are rich in saturated fats, they acidify the body and are therefore difficult to digest. Same instructions for dairy products and sugar – it speaks for itself!
