Stop getting ripped off with fake keratin
5 good reasons to choose keratin over phytokeratin for your hair
Most shampoos have replaced real keratin with phytokeratin derived from imported soy or wheat, grown with GMOs and deforestation. It coats your hair but doesn't repair it. We have chosen the opposite: French wool keratin, 95% compatible with your hair.
They're selling you "plant-based" and "natural"...
Yet, these plants were grown on the other side of the world in conditions prohibited here! A paradox at the heart of cosmetics supposedly good for the planet.

Wool keratin vs phytokeratin.
Two ingredients, two philosophies. Here’s what truly separates them, point by point.
Haircare unique in the world
Discover the first hair care range with real keratin from sheep's wool raised organically in Sarthe. We chose a local, renewable resource from our French farms that is also much more effective than the plant-based version.
5 reasons to prefer real keratin from our regions.

1- A natural affinity with your hair
Your hair is 95% keratin. Wool keratin, also composed of 95% of this same protein, shows perfect compatibility with human hair fiber. Phytokeratin, derived from hydrolyzed vegetable proteins, is only an imitation: it does not have the same molecular structure and does not integrate naturally with hair.

2- The power of cysteines and disulfide bonds
Wool keratin is rich in cysteine, promotes growth, smooths cuticles, reduces porosity, protects color, and shields against external aggressions (UV, pollution, heat). Its effectiveness, supported by scientific evidence, significantly surpasses that of plant-based alternatives.

3- Scientifically proven effectiveness
Scientific research shows that peptides derived from animal keratin penetrate the heart of the hair fiber and regenerate it. Phytokeratin, on the other hand, remains on the surface: temporary cosmetic effect, with no real restorative action. (sources at bottom of page)

4- A more environmentally friendly choice
Phytokeratin comes mainly from soy or wheat, often imported from Latin America, grown with extensive use of GMOs, chemical fertilizers, and deforestation. This is a paradox in cosmetics that are supposed to be organic. In contrast, wool keratin valorizes a natural and local co-product, derived from sheep shearing, which is necessary for their well-being.

5- Supporting our farmers and ranchers in France
Choosing animal keratin is also a social and agricultural choice. It allows for better remuneration for French farmers who practice extensive farming, respectful of animals and soil. By valuing their by-products like wool, we support a circular, local, and sustainable economy.

Hair fiber repaired with our wool keratin under microscope
Carried out on 11 participants using the Aramo® ASW 300F device (x500 magnification), the instrumental test objectively photographs the condition of the hair cuticle before (D0) and after 28 days (D28). The test measures the level of visible damage to the fiber — raised scales, surface irregularities.
Day 0 — Dry, colored, and damaged hair
Use for 28 days
Day 28 — Smoother scales, more regular cuticle
Instrumental result after 28 days of use of the wool keratin hair mask - regenerating & strengthening
Your questions about Wool Keratin
To have beautiful hair, it's essential to understand its composition.
Their strength, shine, and elasticity are not accidental: all of this relies on a complex and unique structure, dominated by an essential protein... keratin.
-
Because it is almost identical to the keratin in your hair (95% common composition) and rich in cysteine, an amino acid that phytokeratin does not contain. Animal keratin peptides penetrate the heart of the hair fiber and regenerate it, whereas phytokeratin remains on the surface for a temporary cosmetic effect.

From sheep raised in the Sarthe region, at the Ferme de la Fontaine du Feu in Chaufour Notre Dame, under extensive organic farming practices that respect animal welfare. The wool is a natural co-product of shearing, essential for the animals' comfort. We transform it into pure keratin for our hair care products using natural enzymes.
-
This is our signature: the synergy of animal and plant. Wool keratin repairs and strengthens the hair fiber, while organic snail slime moisturizes and regenerates the scalp. Together, they offer a complete and unique hair care treatment, true to the DNA of Mademoiselle Agathe's Helicitherapy.
-
No, and we fully embrace that. We believe the most virtuous organic cosmetics come from utilizing by-products of French livestock farming — such as wool, obtained from sheep shearing which is essential for their well-being. This is our #OrganicNotVegan stance: advocating for extensive and respectful French agriculture, rather than phytokeratin imported from Brazilian soy under a "plant-based" label.
-
To respond to the vegan ideology, which is nevertheless the opposite of organic farming, which organic cosmetics are supposed to champion. We believe that a complete lack of understanding of agricultural practices is the real cause...
