Fight against skin aging.
Over time, your skin doesn't just "age" by chance.
It gradually loses:
- essential proteins (collagen, elastin)
- its ability to regenerate
- its natural hydration
The result: wrinkles, fine lines, loss of radiance, thinner and more fragile skin.
But most importantly... We often try to repair it with active ingredients that aren't compatible with your skin.
With our Helitherapy treatments, you give your skin naturally compatible and bioavailable active ingredients.

The pharmacological and biological properties of snail slime.

Snail mucus concentrates exfoliating, moisturizing, and regenerating properties. Thanks to glycolic acid, it helps remove dead cells and contributes to reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Mucopolysaccharides promote tissue hydration and improve the skin's water retention capacity. Peptides present in snail slime can also stimulate collagen production by fibroblasts, leading to continuous skin regeneration (Gentili et al. 2020; Adikwu et al. 2008; Truchuelo et al. 2020).
-
Thanks to the synergy of its bioactive molecules, particularly glycolic acid, hemocyanin, actin, allantoin, elastin, and collagen, snail slime helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles, stretch marks, signs of photoaging, and damage from free radicals. Its protective action also acts as a natural antioxidant, notably due to SOD & GST molecules that protect cellular components against oxidation (Arora, 2021; Cristiano et al. 2022; Liudmyla et al. 2022; Laneri et al. 2019; Tsakanova et al. 2021).
-
As we age, natural collagen production gradually declines, leading to the appearance of wrinkles, loss of firmness, and sagging skin structure. Applied to the skin, the proteins present in snail slime can penetrate the deep layers of the dermis. There, they interact with fibroblasts and stimulate cell renewal by promoting the production of type 1 and 3 collagen, as well as elastin synthesis, contributing to a visible effect on skin suppleness and youthfulness (Adikwu et al. 2008).
-
The keratolytic effect of snail mucus is based on its ability to activate the exfoliation of dead cells and stimulate cell renewal. Snail slime stimulates the migration and proliferation of skin cells, promoting collagen and elastin production, and strengthening the skin barrier. The mucus stimulates cell renewal, promotes the expression of regenerative proteins, and participates in tissue regeneration, properties that explain its benefit in skin treatments (Adikwu et al. 2008; Liudmyla et al. 2022; Tsoutsos et al. 2009).
-
According to Gentili et al. 2020, snail slime acts as a barrier against external aggressors, and the skin is better protected. Mucopolysaccharides form a protective barrier, while polyphenols help limit oxidative damage. This natural action protects the skin from premature aging caused by pollution (Gentili et al. 2020).

DR. Annie Alloin — Our consulting dermatologist
Snail slime has been used in medicine since ancient times, mainly for its healing and anti-inflammatory effects. The first scientific studies on its various properties date back to the 19th century, but they have multiplied in recent decades, demonstrating its effectiveness, particularly in the field of cosmetics.
Its many active components allow it to stimulate cell regeneration as well as collagen and elastin synthesis, and it is, among other things, moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial. Medically, it is used in the treatment of burns and for its broncho-relaxing properties.
In conclusion, cosmetics based on snail slime extract, such as those from Mademoiselle Agathe, and which I myself have had tested on patients, have numerous beneficial effects on the skin and are combined with good tolerance.
