NOTRE ENGAGEMENT POUR LE MADE IN FRANCE

OUR COMMITMENT TO MADE IN FRANCE

At Mlle Agathe, we have always cried it out loud and clear, but today more than ever, we reaffirm our support for Made in France, a commitment rooted in our history, our formulations and our territories... And the proof is indeed well there!

Proof number 1: the beginning of a beautiful story

It is in sweet France that the story of Mlle Agathe takes root. More precisely in 2013, when the magic happens at the Salon Bio de Lyon. At that time Fabrice Pierron, who was marketing snail slime-based products for the first time, met Patrice Lambert, snail farmer since 1989. It was a real meeting, that of two men united by the same certainty: offer quality snail slime, as well as French production. An association was born. Miss Agathe then takes off.

Proof number 2: rootedness in the territory and French partners

From north to south, from east to west, Miss Agathe covers France and works with a local fabric of diverse expertise. Its offices are located around Le Mans, its laboratory in the Loire, as for the breeding of snails, it is located between the Drôme and the Ardèche. This is where our big grays bask in the pill!

Being established in France is already a big step for our Made in France commitment, but working with French partners is another. In 2007, our snail farmer Patrice Lambert was crowned the first French producer of “Gros Gris” snails with the organic farming label. In 2010, he began his research to harvest snail slime for cosmetology.

As we are stronger together, Fabrice and Patrice decide a few years later to combine their skills and sign an exclusive contract for the supply of snail slime for the development of Miss Agathe (who is the only one able to certify of an organic heliciculture harvesting the drool manually). And that, we are very proud of!

Proof number 3: a hexagonal production

For manufacturing, we also stay in France! The manufacture of our cosmetics begins with the harvest of the precious mucus. This is done directly at the place of breeding. Once the slime has been collected, our laboratory takes over.

Created in 1995 in the Pays de la Loire on a production site of high environmental quality, our laboratory selects with great care the ingredients making up the formulation of our products.

Here again, Miss Agathe remains faithful to her convictions and only works with ingredients sourced in France and harvested with respect for nature, man and animal. This is the case for our lightening and unifying cream. Thanks to the combo of our snail slime extract and a hydro-glycolic complex of active plants, it helps to reduce the imperfections of your skin's pigmentation.

But let's get back to our topic, why the Pays de la Loire? It is not a coincidence. Indeed, located in a valley, the region benefiting from an exceptional mildness, quickly became a hub of production of medicinal plants. Did you know ? More than a hundred plants with therapeutic properties are grown there. Our laboratory also makes its market there with local producers where it can easily obtain: extracts of flowers, plants, oils and essences. Collaborating with local producers is also a way to ensure the traceability of raw materials and to be able to communicate them to you in complete transparency.

Like Miss Agathe, our laboratory makes every effort to offer cosmetics of excellence and has been involved for many years in the production and certification of organic cosmetics. An obvious partnership for our brand that has enabled us to achieve innovations such as our anti-aging serum containing nearly 93% snail slime extract. Your best ally to fight against the first signs of sagging skin!

Evidence number 4: tricolor snails

We could have started there after all… Because our stars are French. It is at Le Creux de la Tine in the Drôme, in an exceptional region between the Drôme and the Ardèche, that our big grays are raised. This is where it all happens. ALL. Yes, because we do not subcontract any step. Over there, in the south, time lasts a long time… it takes another measure, adapts to another rhythm, that of the snail. Our helicopter farmer Patrice is well aware of this. It is in this exceptional setting, listening to nature that they flourish in the sun.

And Patrice collects this mucus at the most opportune moment for the animal, that is to say when it will be the least disturbed in its natural occupations. Hand-harvested, our mucus offers exceptional quality: much more natural enzymes and much higher bioavailability. It is only under these conditions that the animal gives the best of its benefits. And these virtues are proven right before your eyes. It is thanks to the restorative and deeply moisturizing virtues of their precious mucus that the anti-aging eye contour serum gives you a doe look! We hope you enjoyed this tour of France… On our side, we are always more attached to our beautiful country and to all the riches it can offer us. Long live snail slime and long live made in France!
